Debbie Macomber, author of Family Affair, is a #1 New York Times Bestselling Author. Macomber has more than 100 million copies of her books sold worldwide. In 2010, Macomber won the Romance Writer’s of America award; the Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2005, Macomber was chosen by her readers across the country for the People’s Choice Quill Award for Romance. Other books Macomber has written are Angels Everywhere, Christmas Angels, Mrs. Miracle, Sooner or Later, Touched by Angels, Someday soon, and many others.

At the beginning of the book, Family Affair, Debbie Macomber writes; “I hope you enjoy this romantic comedy, raised from the ashes like a phoenix to live and charm again. Pour yourself a cup of tea, cuddle up in a comfortable chair, and if one is at hand, put a cat in your lap to pet while you’re reading. I always find it comforting to hold an animal in my lap.” Can you feel the warmth from this amazing author, woman, grandmother, and knitter? Once you are charmed by Macomber you cannot get enough of her books.

Family Affair is about falling in love all over again and who does not want to do that? The main character of the novel Is Lacey Lancaster that has been recently divorced and just wants to lay low for a while and hang out with her cat Cleo. But she has an impossible neighbor Jack Walker with a cat named Dog who keeps interfering in her life. The romantic comedy goes on from there.

Debbie Macomber’s books are always a delight to read. She has well earned every accolade she has received. I personally wait and pre-order her books that haven’t even been put on the market yet! Fun read!
